Our Goal

Our €25,000 Plastic Pollution Project aims to remove plastic waste from waterways, educate communities, and prevent further pollution. The project will focus on:

• Ocean and river cleanup initiatives

• Plastic waste collection and recycling programs

• Community education campaigns on reducing plastic use

How the Project Works

To achieve this goal, the project will be divided into three practical steps:

1. Materials and Equipment Needed

   • Trash collection tools: gloves, nets, grabbers, and sacks for safely gathering plastic.

   • Boats or kayaks: for accessing plastic in rivers and nearshore ocean areas.

   • Sorting and recycling stations: for separating plastic types and preparing them for recycling.

   • Protective gear: life jackets, waterproof boots, and first-aid kits for volunteers.

   • Educational materials: posters, flyers, and digital campaigns for awareness.

2. Ocean and River Cleaning Operations

   • Teams of volunteers will conduct organized cleanups at high-pollution beaches and rivers.

   • Boats and nets will collect plastic floating in shallow waters, while volunteers clean the shorelines.

   • Collected plastic will be sorted and recycled, with unusable plastics safely disposed of.

3. Community Engagement and Education

   • Teach communities about plastic reduction, proper disposal, and recycling techniques.

   • Partner with local schools, fishermen, and businesses to encourage sustainable practices.

   • Launch social media campaigns to inspire broader action and long-term change.
